Hello readers:) I have come back from the most exciting race for my entire life! Yes the NOMADIC RACE 2009! Whosay! That's the race that I travel the most distance throughout my entire life. It cannot be even compared to those expedition walk that I have done in BB man!

Aniway let me just blog my race journey in a story format yeah.

11 May 2009, the starting point of the race whereby 6 formally choosen Bafusians have met in the MacDonald of CCK. The teams have not fromally known each other that well and these race is to test the friendship between these 6 people.

The 6 choosen bagusians are as follows.

Mabel: Team Captain of Bagusians. Making important decisions on what to do.

Chin Boon: Navigator of Bagusians. Plans the route for Bagusians and bringing them from one checkpoint to the next.

Sutrisno: Power tank of Bagusians. The player that has the most energy and strength to help carry out the task efficienly and effectiviely. A born leader in deciding the right choice to make.

Suhaila: The blur queen of Bagusians. The laughing cheerfulness brings joy and laughter of the team at times where the team is tired.

Mahes: Joker of the team. Gives the team with good laughter jokes to entertain the team in the journey of 48 hours. He, along with Sutrisno, Azree and Chin Boon plans the route for the Bagusians in deciding the best route to take without exhasting the team.

Azree: The wise man of the team. He gives the team good information to decide on how to walk the upcoming journeys. At that times when Chin Boon is tired, he will be the navigator in replace of him.

So first thing first, they head off to Singapore Vision Farm (SVF) to start their journey of life. 12 tasks to be completed within the next 48 hours.

1st Day
Aniway, the race begans. Being the tough team, we head to the back of the SVF farm and exit out through farm mart. However, we got "team injuries" le. Mabel and Mahes have suffer pants torn while climbing over the fence. Once cross over, we head over to our first checkpoint which is Chinese Garden. Along the way, we start to complete our task of 1000 smiles whereby capturing photo of ppl with smiles. I believe we take a photo of up to 50 and stop co it's too much lol.

Aniway, we have reach Chinese Garden. The task we are to find there is Confucius. And yes we manage to find him! WEEEE! And just now, the team are able to complete the next task, promote to tourist on Singapore. And for these task, Chin Boon was been sent! After clearing the station at Chinese Garden, the next place to walk is Henderson Wave. These was the first challenge for the whole team! Walking from Chinese Garden to West Coast, then to NUS and then go to Kent Ridge Park, Hort park and then finally reach Henderson Wave. At times, the team starts to swear on the long journey but no doubt they are the BAGUSIANS, they managed to reach there already! Once there, the team was drained out of energy and decided to rest there. After about half an hour of rest, BAGUSIANS head out to the City to clear three different photos.

Here, we have yet another casualty appeared. Suhaila has started to suffering from Blisters. However, she still presists all the way and yes! We finally reach the city at around 2/3am. Along the way, we spotted Vanda Miss Joaquim, National Flower of Singapore. That was lucky for us thou. Aniway, off the team go to City. Once there, the team has to completed yet another challenging task! To find the 3 differents photos in city hall within 30 minutes! Why 30 minutes? Coz we are to get the hitch ride from Ridtz and Pei yun. So of course, we start to dash across the city areas to clear the place. At times, the team were very tired le. Chin Boon was one of them. Luckily, Mahes was there to support and encourage him all the way. If not, he may have collapsed in the city le.

After all the hardwork, the team head to East Coast Park where they get their rest. Of course, the first thing to do first is to blog on our day journey. However, we got problems! Sutrisno com seems to be nonfunctional! Ai ya ya! Luckily Pei yun lend us her laptop and thus the team is on the roll again. The team has also "transform" themselves and switch to their most powerful attire! The BAGUSIANS uniform!

2nd Day
The task for today was to complete the east side, Punggol and Clementi.

And here comes the 2nd challenge. The long walk from East Coast to Changi. OMG The team will say. They took a total of 5 hours to reach to Changi Village man. Along the journey, the team cheered each other up by singing songs and doing crazy stunts.

After a long walk, the team have reach the Changi Park connector. WEEEE! That was one mad journey la. Aniway, when we reach there, the team has decided to split up whereby Sutrisno and Chin Boon will walk first to get the water supply for the team. However, due to the lack of strength...Chin Boon was left behind (Sorry Su). Along the way, The team met Ridtz and Pei yun and yes with words of encouragement, they head on to the next place! Aniway, the team walked all the way to Changi Beach at last! Whoosay! At this point, all members has suffered from Blisters already! Chin Boon, however, suffers the worst kind one. Yikes! Oh. Do you know that our team has learned one new skills throughout the race? That is massage! U should see on how they perform their massage skills to relieve the tension from each other. According to the team, Mabel's one the best...

Aniway, let's continue on the journey. So after hearing Sutrisno is at Changi Village, Chin Boon decided to head out to Changi Village to search for him while the team rests at the Beach. Luckily, along the way, Sutrisno pass by and pass a can of red bull to Chin Boon! Energy Booster! After about an hour, All members has reached Changi Village and Chin Boon's injuries seems to be worst and thus Mahes decided to call the Melayu Sinseh, Ridtz to take a look at him. And well, he say it's not serious... And the team can finally eat a proper dinner at last! Changi Nasi Lemak with Sugarcane drink! Whoa that was heaven man! Aniway our next stop is to head to Punggol Jetty! So we take bus 109 to Sengkang.

Due to Chin Boon's leg injury, he had to stay behind while the rest head off to Pungool Jetty! After about an hour plus, they head off to the next station which is to Sunset way to find the spooky railway! That was place was very spooky indeed sia! Once it's taken they make their way out of here ASAP and move on to Universal Cultural Centre located at NUS...

After that, its finally make their way up to Northpoint to take their 2nd break!

3rd Day
Rise and shine! The task for today was not as tough as the previous two.
The team has received their sms to head over to the next checkpoint which is little guilin park at Bukit Gombak. Once there, they took a photo with the other teams and off to decode their last clue. Which is using Binary code to decode the latitude and longtitude of the final location. And they found their location which is at SVF! Weeee! Back to home at long last. And the team was so called "interview" by Ridtz on the journey they have.

End of Story.

Right, now about personal reflection.

Initially, I join this race is just to have another fun experience in the AK camp. Never well I thought that I had to strech myself this far out in the race. I mean the 30 mins challenge run is the first time I challenged myself as I'm really weak in terms of doing physical stuff such as running etc. Luckily, I have good friends that are willing to support me and drive me on to do my best!

Second point to note that is really be thankful of all the things we had. Like what Ridtz say, you have everything you have all the time. While walking from East Coast to Changi. I have notice that I have no more water left already. And it started to let me know how precious the items that we used in our daily life is indeed.

Third, I have make good friends in these whole journey. Yeah at some times, you may get irritated by them due to the comments they make...(esp. Are we there yet!), they are actually fun guys and gals to hang out and chill out with. So how about BAGUSIANS have a celebration party and chill out somewhere nice and good next time huh? Team Captain what do you say?
